Global Village Dubailand, Dubai, is claimed to be the world's largest tourism, leisure and entertainment project. It is the region's first cultural, entertainment, family and shopping destination. Every year, it has over 5 million visitors over an area of 17,200,000 sq ft (1,600,000 m2)

  1. The Concept has been based on the Global Village Concept, showing different continents which is reflected in the type and lay-out of the different pavement used.
  2. Pedestrian movement: People are free moving, but walking directions are indicated by colorful LED-lighting within the different pavements used. Street lighting. Planting will be higher trees aligning "Facades of the World", as indicated on the Sketch below.
  3. A large feature clock, where kids and people of all ages can enjoy is located close to the amphitheater. Seasonal or mobile kiosks can be located on both oval shaped grassed areas and/or paved areas.

THE AIM IS To be one of the top ten International brands in the world for family entertainment and cultural experiences by 2020.

The scope of work included three parts:

1)            the conceptual design aspect

2)            preliminary design and visuals

3)            the supervision and quality assurance
